GBT Logistics & Packaging is a Canadian transportation, warehousing, and supply chain company operating throughout North America. We provide transportation, warehousing, distribution, and logistics solutions to some of North America's leading food manufacturers and distributors.
We are currently seeking a highly organized and technology-focused Logistics Coordinator to support our Canadian transportation operations.
This role is best suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable multitasking, and possess strong computer and communication skills.
Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring transportation activities, communicating with drivers and customers, tracking shipments, updating transportation systems, resolving operational issues, and ensuring the successful execution of daily transportation plans.
This is an operations-focused role requiring quick decision-making, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track truck and trailer movements throughout GTA
- Communicate with drivers regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and schedule changes.
- Coordinate with customers, warehouses, and dispatch personnel.
- Update shipment information within company systems.
- Monitor equipment availability and driver schedules.
- Escalate service issues and delays when required.
- Respond to customer inquiries and operational requests.
- Prepare daily operational reports and shift handovers.
- Maintain accurate records and transportation documentation.
- Ensure all customer service requirements and service levels are achieved.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Transportation Dispatch
- Logistics Coordination
- Freight Brokerage
- Supply Chain Operations
- Customer Service Operations
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- GPS Tracking Systems
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Microsoft Excel and Reporting
Experience supporting North American transportation operations is considered a strong asset.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant transportation and dispatch experience may be considered in place of formal education.
