The Opportunity: Fitter/Welder Lead Hand
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and plan the material processing, fitting, and welding of projects.
- As a Fitter/Welder you will be asked to perform in a leadership role on small teams including welders, labors, and other fitters.
- Perform accurate calculations from drawings to layout, fit, and process material as required.
- Ensure all parts are fitted accurately in accordance to supplied drawings.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (Horizontal, vertical or overhead).
- Strong communication with supervision and QA/QC to ensure accuracy.
- Set up of components for welding according to specifications.
- High attention to industry safety standards.
Job Requirements
- Be proficient using a variety of welding equipment (FCAW, SMAW, TIG, MIG,)
- Be proficient in the fitting and processing of structural shapes and plate
- Custom fabrication skills using press breaks, shears and various other fab shop equipment would be an asset.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Fitter / welder.
- Current valid CWB welding tickets, preference given to those with aluminum welding experience.
- Strong attention to detail.

Hours & Benefits
