Desert Park Exhibition Society is a non-profit organization located in Osoyoos, BC providing year-round equine boarding and RV camping. We are also an equine event venue; we host harness races, barrel races, and more. We are ready to expand and hire an organized individual to coordinate our team.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager/Event Coordinator to lead our administrative operations and orchestrate memorable events that foster community and engagement. This role is vital in maintaining a smooth-running organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties
- Oversee daily office operations, including phone systems, emails, and managing a small RV park.
- Manage volunteers.
- Communicate with board members.
- Handle bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, including invoicing, expense tracking, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate filing systems—both physical and digital—and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Manage maintanence schedules.
- Assist with human resources functions such as supporting HR initiatives.
- Manage company cellphone with professional phone etiquette; respond promptly to inquiries.
- Support budgeting efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an office or administrative setting with strong management skills.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping, payroll, and financial management tasks.
- Extensive experience with excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination from conception through execution.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively under tight deadlines.
- Previous clerical or administrative experience combined with excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships across teams.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
