Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, fitting, and assembling steel components while ensuring all work meets quality and production requirements.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of welding and fabrication experience, strong GMAW/MIG skills, and the ability to independently complete projects from start to finish. Experience with stainless steel and TIG welding is considered an asset.
Duties
- Weld and fabricate steel components according to shop drawings and specifications.
- Perform GMAW/MIG welding on steel.
- Perform TIG welding as required; stainless steel experience is an asset.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
- Complete fabrication projects independently from setup through final assembly.
- Measure, fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish components to required specifications.
- Operate hand tools and shop equipment safely and efficiently, including:
- Saws
- Grinders
- Shears
- Drill presses
- Plasma cutters
- Torches
- Inspect completed work for quality, dimensions, and weld integrity.
- Identify and correct fabrication or welding issues.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Follow production schedules and complete work within required timelines.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Strong experience welding steel.
- Experience with GMAW/MIG welding.
- TIG welding experience is an asset.
- Stainless steel welding experience is an asset.
- CWB certification is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to complete projects independently from start to finish.
- Proficient and safe operation of common fabrication tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
