We are looking for a highly capable Finance Manager who can operate in a dynamic environment, bring structure to complexity, and serve as a strong operational leader within the finance function.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional “maintenance accounting” role.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and building scalable operational finance infrastructure.
The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day finance operations while partnering closely with leadership and the CFO to improve visibility, strengthen controls, optimize workflows, and support continued organizational growth.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, operationally strong, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in an evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Business Visibility
- Help build scalable finance operations, reporting infrastructure, and operational workflows across the organization
- Improve visibility into client profitability, operational performance, pricing, and financial KPIs
- Assist in developing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Support the development of operational dashboards, reporting tools, and scalable financial insights
- Coordinate and improve multi-currency invoicing, settlements, reconciliations, and operational finance workflows
- Partner cross-functionally to improve financial visibility, operational decision-making, and business intelligence capabilities
- Support ongoing cash flow management and operational forecasting activities
- Assist in strengthening finance processes, controls, and reporting accuracy across a growing multi-entity environment
Process Improvement & Scalability
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability across finance and cross-functional operations.
- Build and document scalable finance processes and workflows
- Help strengthen reporting structures, operational KPIs, and financial visibility
- Assist with systems/process optimization and implementation initiatives
- Improve coordination and accountability across finance operations
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Coordinate workflow across accounting and finance support staff
- Help prioritize deliverables and ensure deadlines are consistently achieved
- Support development of a strong operational finance function
- Act as a key escalation point for operational finance matters
Business Partnership & Strategic Support
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, IT, and HR
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis
- Support operational and strategic decision-making through financial insight and analysis
- Work closely with the CFO to support organizational growth, scalability, and financial operations
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting, payroll, and tax requirements
- Support cross-border operations, intercompany financial processes, and multi-entity finance coordination.
- Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements as needed
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or in progress) preferred but not mandatory
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience
- 2+ years of leadership or team management experience preferred
- Strong interest in process improvement, automation, and leveraging modern technologies and AI tools to improve operational efficiency and scalability
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting and payroll practices
- Strong operational finance and reconciliation experience
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency
- Ex Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Ability to operate independently in fast-paced and evolving environments
Strong Assets
- Experience in any of the following areas is considered a major asset:
- Ecommerce, direct response, marketing, or call centre industries
- Payment processors, settlements, reserves, chargebacks, or reconciliation-heavy environments
- Multi-currency and foreign exchange (FX) transactions
- Cross-border entities and intercompany financials

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
