Summary
Covert Logistics is seeking skilled Red Seal Diesel Mechanic(s)/Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will have strong backgrounds in Equipment repair and heavy equipment operation, with the ability to work on various TRAILERS and/or DIESEL ENGINES. This position requires a commitment to quality workmanship and service skills, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance are performed to quality standards.
Job Duties
- DIESEL MECHANIC: Perform repair work on heavy duty trucks Diesel Engine Repair Specialization-Fuel injection system, Exhaust system, Cooling system, Air conditioning system, Lubrication system, Engine control system, Major internal engine repairs or overhaul, Installation and alignment of engines and machinery
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs, and reporting all findings to management
- TRAILERS: Diagnose, repair and maintain trailers, including suspension, tires trailer axle, lighting systems, rear walls and doors, trailer frame and support and trailer body. Recognize additional maintenance and repair that could be performed and escalate to the supervisor
Job Requirements
- Have minimum 2 year experience
- Able to lift more than 40kg (100lbs)
- Have driving license and air endorsement
- License required (1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice)
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in the field as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
