Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Furniture Mover to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of furniture and heavy items within warehouse and client sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, heavy equipment handling, and logistics, with a focus on safety and precision. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment requiring teamwork, mechanical aptitude, and strong physical endurance.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload furniture and heavy items using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes
- Safely move furniture within warehouse facilities or to designated delivery locations
- Assist with order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks following safety protocols
- Ensure proper handling of goods during shipping & receiving processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate moving schedules and logistics
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, and warehouse protocols
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Experience with order picker systems and warehouse management systems is a plus
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures
- Construction or heavy equipment operation experience is advantageous
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver for extended periods during shifts
- Valid certification for forklift or crane operation is desirable but not mandatory
- Prior warehouse experience demonstrating familiarity with load & unload tasks is preferred
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
