Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire students of various ages through engaging art lessons and activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching art, working with children, and fostering a love for creativity. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ artistic development while creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate art curriculum tailored to students’ skill levels and interests
- Conduct engaging art classes that encourage creativity, self-expression, and technical skill development
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and artistic exploration
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth
- Organize and oversee art projects, exhibitions, or showcases to celebrate student achievements
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and other educators to enhance the overall educational experience
- Incorporate additional activities such as tutoring or working with children in different settings when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and creativity
Requirements
- Prior experience in teaching art or working with children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and classroom management skills
- Background in early childhood education is preferred
- Ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods and hands-on activities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience with tutoring or working directly with children is advantageous
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
- Creative mindset with a passion for fostering artistic growth in young learners
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
