Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The Mechanic will play a vital part in minimizing downtime and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues on equipment and machinery using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on various mechanical systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they lead to failure
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete maintenance tasks
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate repairs and minimize operational disruptions
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in troubleshooting and repairing machinery
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience using power tools for maintenance tasks
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks required for maintenance work
