A Vancouver Island–based demolition company specializing in hazardous material abatement is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our growing team.
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and managing projects efficiently from start to finish. Strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to build effective working relationships are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a project management role, preferably in demolition, construction, or hazardous material abatement
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- References required to verify experience

Work Environment:
Work is primarily on sites from South to Central Vancouver Island. There is occasional work on the mainland and other surrounding areas. Hours of work can be varied at times, depending on the project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the sales process from estimating through contracts execution to completion.
- Directly accountable for all aspects of project and employee performance.
- Safety centric.
- Communicate and provide direction to the current team of employees.
- Develop strong working relationships with the current employees to maximize potential and productivity.
- Site specific management of the company safety program as it applies.
- Ensure projects are compliant with all outside governing bodies.
- Daily employee time sheet review and sign off.
- Daily electronic report submission.
- Communicate and partner with Health and Safety Coordinator.
- Scheduling of employees and equipment needs for the project
- All other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Successful completion of WorkSafe BC approved Asbestos Awareness Training, Level 3 and Level S.
- Lead a diverse team with the ability to motivate and coach employees.
- Understand and adhere to municipal specific code requirements.
- Understand and adhere to WorkSafe BC requirements as they relate to asbestos removal, hazmat, abatement and de-construction
- Estimating and bidding job projects.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Excel).
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, with multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
- Recognize discrepancies and ensure accuracy of work/reports
- Creative, highly motivated with superior organizational skills, results orientated and committed to team success
