Expert Tutors Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated elementary-level tutor to support student assignments throughout the upcoming school year. We are currently hiring tutors for the East York and Scarborough regions of Ontario for in-person tutoring opportunities.
We are looking for patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic educators who enjoy helping students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and achieve their learning goals.
Position: Elementary Tutor
Location: East York and Scarborough, Ontario (In-person and/or virtual)
Start Date: September 2026
Grade Levels: 1 through 8
Subjects: Math and Language

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's individual learning needs
- Support students in improving academic performance, understanding concepts, and building confidence
- Prepare and deliver effective lesson plans and learning activities
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience tutoring elementary-level students
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (required)
- Education from a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach when working with students
- Relevant qualifications, education, and/or certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Assets
The following qualifications and experience would be considered an asset:
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience in Ontario or Canada
- Access to a reliable vehicle
