About Us (https://www.beoptimal.ca/services/menopause-and-perimenopause-care)
Optimal Health Clinic is a membership-based longevity and preventive health clinic in Barrie. We deliver proactive, personalized care — including a dedicated Menopause & Perimenopause Care Program — with longer appointments, comprehensive lab work, and ongoing care relationships that aren't always possible in conventional settings.
Our clinical team is NP-led and supported by physician oversight, modern diagnostics (including body composition analysis and on-site phlebotomy), and a collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment.
The Role
We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner to deliver in-person menopause and perimenopause care to our members. You'll provide comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans (including menopausal hormone therapy where appropriate), and follow patients longitudinally through our structured care program.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive menopause/perimenopause assessments, including symptom evaluation, history, and physical exam
- Interpret hormone panels and related lab work; order follow-up investigations as indicated
- Initiate, titrate, and monitor menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) and non-hormonal treatment options
- Counsel patients on bone health, cardiovascular risk, sleep, sexual health, and lifestyle factors
- Document care in our EMR and collaborate with our existing NP and physician team
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Extended Class — NP-PHC or NP-Adult)
- Current CNPS or equivalent professional liability protection
- Experience managing perimenopausal and menopausal patients, including prescribing MHT
- Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP, formerly NCMP) designation strongly preferred — or willingness to pursue certification (we'll support this)
- Comfortable with longer, relationship-based appointments in a premium care model
What We Offer
- $75/hour contractor rate
- 30–60 minute appointment slots — practice the way menopause care should be practiced
- Full clinical support: care coordinators and and admin team on staff to assist
- Flexible weekly scheduling (4–8 hours, with potential to grow as the program expands)
To apply, please submit your resume and a brief note about your experience with menopause care.
