Overview
We are seeking dedicated Landscaper and Lawn Maintenance Labourers to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, maintaining residential and commercial properties, and supporting the overall aesthetic and health of outdoor spaces. Ideal candidates will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and outdoor construction work, with a focus on quality and safety.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to ensure healthy and attractive lawns and gardens
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for site preparation and landscaping projects
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, digging, leveling, and other landscaping activities
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as building retaining walls, pathways, or garden beds
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Support team members in project setup, cleanup, and site safety procedures
- Apply horticultural knowledge to select appropriate plants and maintain healthy landscapes
Skills
- Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance
- Strong gardening and horticulture skills with an understanding of plant care
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscape machinery and tools
- Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers) safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control
- Construction skills for installing features like pathways or garden structures
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety standards during all tasks
