Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment and industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to prevent equipment failures.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting gear safely and efficiently during repairs or assembly tasks.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all machinery serviced.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure repairs meet safety standards and operational requirements.
- Assist in the assembly of new equipment or components as needed for installation or upgrades.
Skills
- Proven experience working as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and agricultural machinery.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams.
- Skilled in welding, using hand tools, power tools, and performing heavy lifting safely.
- Experience with automotive repair techniques applicable to industrial vehicles and machinery.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems related to industrial equipment is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
