Western Kia is looking for an Apprentice Technician/Tire Tech to join our growing dealership. This is a full-time opportunity, starting as soon as possible.
The Apprentice Technician/Tire Tech is an entry-level role where you will work with the service team to perform general maintenance work, oil changes, and tire and rim changes. You’ll be working under the direction of our Journeyman Technician and will assist with servicing and/or repair of vehicles.
What You'll be Doing:
Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
Perform tire and rim changes.

Assisting with removal of wheel assemblies, dismounting of tires.
Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor.
Hands-on learning of vehicle maintenance and service under direction of Journeyman tech.
Requirements:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Proven ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Mechanical aptitude considered an asset.

Ability to consistently lift 75-100 pounds.

Safety conscious and able to follow safety procedures.
