We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting / Administrative Assistant to join our Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their accounting and office administration career with a small amount of experience looking to grow in a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Fluent spoken and written English mandatory
- High school diploma
- Minimum one year of office experience
- Reliable transportation (transit may be an option)
- Applicants should reside within reasonable commuting distance of the office
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Available Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is an asset
- Experience with Sage or similar software is an asset
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable
- Maintain employee timekeeping records and assist with payroll preparation
- Assist with safety program
- Data entry and record keeping
- Filing, scanning and organizing documents
- Greet visitors and provide general front-office support
- Liaise with employees and suppliers by phone and email
- Assist with invoicing and basic bookkeeping tasks
- Support general office administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential records

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
