Position Purpose:
The IT Applications Specialist (PMIS) is responsible for the day-to-day management, support, and continuous improvement of assigned applications, focusing on Project Management Information System (PMIS). The role ensures systems are operating effectively, resolves technical and business issues, and supports the delivery of enhancements and upgrades. Working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams, the position contributes to application reliability, user experience, and ongoing optimization of technology solutions.
What You Will Do:
- Manage application operations, including issue resolution, system maintenance, performance monitoring, and vendor coordination.
- Implement application enhancements, upgrades, patches, and fixes to maintain system reliability, security, and data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve incidents and escalations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, support solution design, and implement application improvements.
- Support solution delivery by participating in testing, change management, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to implement changes, troubleshoot issues, and maintain agreed service levels.
- Maintain system documentation, support procedures, and controls to enable effective application lifecycle management.
- Provide user support, training, and guidance while promoting adoption of system functionality and best practices.
Who You Are:
- University degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline an asset.
- Several years of experience in application support or systems analysis.
- Experience supporting Project Management Information Systems (PMIS). Experience with Kahua PMIS would be an asset
- Understanding of large-scale infrastructure projects, including exposure to Engineering, Procurement and Construction business processes (i.e. RFI’s, Submittals, Change Orders and Scheduling)
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management and issue resolution practices.
- Experience working with vendors and service delivery models.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems and platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in a complex business environment.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies is an asset.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.

We offer a competitive hiring range of $90,100 to $104,000 (P4 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
