Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces and components, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply primer, paint, varnish, or other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts to move materials safely around the work area
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Perform welding or machining tasks when required for surface repairs or modifications
- Follow safety protocols related to the use of chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members on assembly and manufacturing processes utilizing lean manufacturing principles
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints or coatings accurately
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial painting preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, welding, machining, or assembly is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, cranes, forklifts, and basic math skills required
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is advantageous
- Experience working with welding or machining processes is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
