Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant team. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems and food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and payment processing
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations at all times
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar area at the beginning and end of shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry settings, especially in serving or bartending roles
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change calculation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of legal requirements
