About Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club
Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club is a private club in Port Carling, Ontario, offering golf, tennis, dining, and event services to our members and their guests throughout the season. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help us maintain the clean, polished, and welcoming environment our members expect every time they visit.
Position Summary
The Clubhouse Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of all clubhouse public areas, including dining rooms, lounges, washrooms, event spaces, offices, and entryways. This role plays a direct part in the member experience, ensuring the clubhouse always looks and feels its best.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, dining areas, lounges, hallways, and offices on a daily basis.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish surfaces throughout the clubhouse according to a set schedule.
- Empty waste and recycling bins and replace liners as needed.
- Restock washroom and cleaning supplies throughout the day.
- Spot clean spills, marks, and high traffic areas promptly.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces in public areas.
Event and Seasonal Support
- Prepare event spaces for functions, including pre and post event cleaning and reset.
- Assist with seasonal deep cleaning at the start and end of the season.
- Support housekeeping needs around tournaments, weddings, and member events as scheduled.
Standards and Communication
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards set by the Club.
- Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to the Clubhouse Manager promptly.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when working in member facing areas.
- Work efficiently and respectfully around members, guests, and staff during cleaning duties.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable using standard cleaning equipment and products.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, with required availability on weekends and flexibility for holidays during the season.
- A positive attitude and respectful, professional demeanor around members and guests.
