Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, preparing tax returns, and ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations. Duties
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and timely
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Manage accounts payable processes related to tax payments and other financial obligations
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant tax-related insights
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation affecting the company
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other bookkeeping tools for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams on investment activities, payroll, and other financial services as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and general bookkeeping tools
- Proficiency in Caseware and TaxPrep
- MUST have at least 2 years experience in Public Accounting
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Experience with auditing processes and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of financial services, investment accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and account reconciliation
- Excellent understanding of budgeting processes and financial planning
- Ability to adapt quickly to new accounting software and systems
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across departmentsThis position is integral to maintaining the company's fiscal integrity while supporting strategic decision-making through precise financial analysis. Pay: $70,000.00-$115,834.64 per year
