Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Local AZ Driver to join our Windsor, Ontario terminal. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of client freight, ensuring adherence to best practices at all times. Hours:
Day Shift – Monday to Friday. Shifts are 10-12 hours starting around 7am.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transport products to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Deliver freight according to safety procedures, maintaining compliance with all guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, reporting any issues to management.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transit.
- Communicate professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations regarding safety and security.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ License.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to achieve operational goals.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with other staff.
