Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Installer / Taper / Finisher to join our team. This role involves installing, boarding , finishing, and ensuring the quality of drywall surfaces in residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation, boarding, taping, and finishing, with a strong focus on precision and craftsmanship. Candidates with additional skills in construction painting, carpentry, caulking, blueprint reading, and handyman work are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Repair drywall imperfections. Apply caulking and sealants to joints and gaps for a finished look
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Receive and report work progress using smartphones daily
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of drywall boarding taping/finishing experience
- Proven experience as a drywall installer, taper, or finisher in residential or commercial settings
- Strong knowledge of finishing techniques and tools
- Comfortable working with ladders, lifts, and other equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills and reliable work ethic
- Good communication in both written and spoken English
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for job site access when necessary
Relocation Information
We welcome applications from candidates outside of Winnipeg, provided you are willing and able to relocate at your own expense.
Pay: $20.00-$31.50 per hour
