Role Overview
We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Issuer Services with a strong understanding of data and data modelling concepts. The SME will play a key role in bridging business domain knowledge (Agency & Trust, Depositary Receipts) with data-driven initiatives, supporting the design and implementation of robust data models for capital markets asset servicing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Domain Expertise & Advisory
- Serve as the go-to expert for Issuer Services, covering Agency & Trust (A&T) and Depositary Receipts (DR) business lines.
- Advise on specialized agency services (escrow, account bank, M&A tender & exchange, project finance), conventional debt (commercial paper, certificates of deposit, medium-term notes, investment grade/high-yield debt), and structured finance (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CDO/CLO).
- Provide guidance on Depositary Receipt products, including ADR, GDR, LDR, GDNs, and unsponsored DRs.
2. Data Modelling Support
- Work closely with technology and analytics teams to design, validate, and enhance data models supporting custody, trustee, and fiduciary services.
- Review and provide feedback on entity-relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
3. Product & Solution Development
- Support the development of data-driven solutions for reporting, analytics, and regulatory compliance in issuer services.
- Advise on data quality, lineage, and governance best practices for issuer services data assets.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with business, operations, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and validate data model alignment with business needs.
Participate in workshops, walkthroughs, and UAT sessions to ensure business objectives are met.

Key Skills & Experience
- Deep knowledge of issuer services (Agency & Trust, Depositary Receipts) and capital markets products.
- Familiarity with product offerings such as commercial paper, bonds, ABS, MBS, CLOs, escrow, account bank, and project finance.
- Experience in supporting issuance, payments, trustee/fiduciary, safekeeping/custody, analytics, cancellation/redemption, and reporting functions.
- Hands-on experience with data modelling concepts (entities, relationships, normalization, etc.).
- Ability to translate complex business processes into clear data requirements.
- Familiarity with data modelling tools (e.g., ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (business, IT, data/analytics).
Understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements in capital markets is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in capital markets/issuer services.
Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CISI) are a plus.

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
