What You'll Do
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Create an engaging, positive workplace culture built on respect, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering lasting relationships with pet parents.
- Train team members in pet nutrition, product knowledge, and consultative selling.
- Recruit, onboard, schedule, and mentor employees to help them reach their full potential.
- Manage daily store operations, merchandising, inventory, and operational standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators and drive sales through outstanding customer experiences—not high-pressure selling.
- Ensure the store consistently exceeds expectations for cleanliness, presentation, and operational excellence.
- Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, and a genuine passion for pets.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Previous leadership or management experience in retail.
- Pet industry experience is strongly preferred.
- A genuine passion for pet health, nutrition, and customer education.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Proven success in customer service and sales.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Confidence using computers and retail systems with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and remain calm under pressure.
- A positive, energetic attitude with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- The ability to regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
