Role Purpose
The Tasting Room Host is an important role here at the winery. As the first point of contact for our guests, they are responsible for creating a warm and welcoming, seamless, and well-organized experience. This role oversees reservations, initial engagement, guest flow, managing the retail POS and supporting overall tasting room operations.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Hosting
· Greet and welcome guests, setting the tone for a premium experience
· Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems (e.g., Tock)
· Ensure smooth guest flow and timely seating
· Provide accurate information about wines, experiences, and the winery
Operations & Coordination
· Oversee daily reservation management and answer guest inquiries (phone/email)
· Retail POS operations
· Support opening/closing procedures and maintain a clean, organized space
· Coordinate with the tasting room team to ensure efficient service
Sales Support
· Encourage wine purchases, club sign-ups, and event participation
· Promote winery experiences and upcoming events

Qualifications
· Customer service or hospitality experience preferred
· Familiarity with reservation/POS systems (e.g., Tock/Qualo)
· Serving It Right certification
· Ability to lift up to 15–18 kg (40 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment
Role Details
· Seasonal (June–October) with potential for extended opportunities
· Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
· Full-time / Part-time
· Shift lengths of 4–8 hours
