Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Appian Technical Lead to design, develop, and lead enterprise-grade Appian solutions supporting digital transformation and platform modernization initiatives, including integrations with systems such as OnBase.
This role provides technical leadership to ensure scalable, high-performing, secure, and maintainable low-code applications aligned with enterprise architecture standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and development teams to deliver innovative workflow and automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Appian architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Lead the design and development of scalable Appian applications and workflows.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams on:
- Appian implementation
- Performance tuning
- Optimization strategies
- Best practices
- Design and implement integrations between Appian and enterprise systems, including:
- OnBase
- REST/SOAP APIs
- Web Services
- Databases
- Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Establish development governance, CI/CD practices, and deployment standards.
- Collaborate with:
- Enterprise Architects
- Business Stakeholders
- Product Teams
- Development Teams
- Review and approve solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production issue resolution.
- Drive reusable component development and adoption of Appian platform best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall experience in application development and solution architecture.
- 7+ years of experience with application development and architecture.
- Strong expertise in Appian design, development, and architecture.
- Extensive experience with:
- Workflow automation
- Case management
- Business process design
- Strong knowledge of Appian integrations, including:
- REST APIs
- SOAP APIs
- Web Services
- Database integrations
- Experience with relational databases and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of:
- Application security
- Scalability
- Performance optimization
- Experience with:
- DevOps practices
- CI/CD pipelines
- Agile delivery models
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Appian certifications:
- Appian Senior Developer
- Appian Lead Developer
- Appian Architect
- Experience integrating Appian with OnBase or ECM platforms.
- Experience working in the financial services or insurance domain.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of:
- Microservices architecture
- Event-driven architecture
Pay: $110,000.00 per year
