Key Responsibilities
Property Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple properties (residential )
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform bank reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany entries
- Ensure accurate rent roll, tenant ledger, and occupancy reporting
- Prepare year-end working papers and support external auditors
- Prepare annual operating budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 3+ years of experience in property or real estate accounting
- Strong knowledge of multi-property accounting (residential & commercial)
- Solid understanding of financial statements and month-end close
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or Collegial degree
- Familiarity with property management software (Hopem, Building Stack, etc.)
