Springwall Production Lead Hand – Manufacturing Position
Summary
The Production Lead Hand is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by coordinating workflow, assisting production employees, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. This role acts as a key point of communication between production staff and management while leading by example on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily production activities to ensure schedules and targets are met.
- Lead, support, and train production employees on processes, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
- Monitor workflow and allocate manpower effectively to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and specifications.
- Promote and enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot production issues and escalate concerns to management when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with inventory control, material handling, and production reporting.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Act as a backup resource for supervisors when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
- Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are considered an asset.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to lift, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Forklift certification or other equipment certifications considered an asset.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing/production floor environment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, or weekends as required.
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures depending on the facility.
Reporting Structure
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
