Chairside Dental Assistant – New Patient Coordinator

About the Role
Glow Orthodontics is seeking a detail-oriented Chairside Dental Assistant to transition into a specialized New Patient Coordinator role. This position shifts away from general restorative chairside assisting (suctioning and rapid room turnover) to focus on initial patient diagnostics, advanced imaging, and intake management.
We will provide full on-the-job training for specialized orthodontic software and workflows. Formal CDA certification and prior orthodontic experience are not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Diagnostics: Perform high-resolution 3D intraoral scans using iTero technology.
- Radiography: Capture digital Panoramic and Cephalometric X-rays.
- Clinical Photography: Take intraoral and extraoral photos for treatment planning and diagnostic records.
- Patient Intake: Guide new patients and families through their initial consultation and diagnostic appointment, establishing clear clinical communication and a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Clinical Experience: Background as a chairside dental assistant in a clinical environment.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort navigating modern digital imaging equipment, software, and electronic health records.
- Communication Skills: Ability to articulate clinical procedures clearly to both pediatric and adult patients.
- Attention to Detail: High standard for accuracy in capturing diagnostic records and documentation.
