Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in interior and exterior plastering, as well as a strong background in related trades such as carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to high-quality finishes and durable structures. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Apply plaster, stucco, and other finishing materials to walls, ceilings, and exteriors according to project specifications
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or patching prior to application
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise application
- Perform caulking around windows, doors, and joints to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to framing or finishing as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during application processes
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting, plastering, or related trades
- Knowledge of construction techniques including carpentry and handyman skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with caulking, surface preparation, and finishing techniques
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate loads as required
- Prior experience working with <PERSON> or similar projects is a plus
