Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop work instructions and shop procedures.
- Disassemble/ Assemble valves and route to other production areas as required work instructions.
- Identify components necessary for reassembly and submit material requests to inventory control.
- Fit and reassemble valves after completion of other production and quality control processes.
- Cross trained in other areas as needed.
- Significant overtime and weekend work required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8 hour shifts
- Able to work in a high production environment
- Must be able lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion
- Basic computer skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Crane and Rigging Experience an asset
- Forklift (sit down and reach) experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Education and Qualifications
- High school or GED required, as well as a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- 2+ years of valve or related mechanical experience.
