Location: Calgary, AB
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday to Friday
New West Truck Centres’ Calgary body shop is built for apprentices who want to develop real skills, not just log hours. Whether you’re early in your apprenticeship or closing in on your ticket, you’ll be working in a busy, well-equipped heavy-duty repair facility that sees strong volume and a wide range of work.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built buses, and other commercial equipment, alongside experienced journeymen who take pride in their work and are invested in developing the next group of technicians.
From foundational skills to more advanced structural repairs, this is an environment where you can grow at every stage of your apprenticeship.
You’ll be working with a leadership group in Calgary that understands the trade. Your foreman and manager are steady, knowledgeable, and hands-on when needed. Expectations are clear, support is there, and respect goes both ways.
No matter what year you’re in, you’ll continue building your skill set. You’ll get exposure to a wide range of repairs along with access to OEM training, web-based learning, and in-house development. The goal is to keep you progressing steadily toward your journeyman certification.
We offer a strong total compensation package including health, dental, vision, EFAP, and life insurance. Apprentice wages are competitive and aligned with your registered year, experience, and progression, with clear increases as you advance.
