Title: Framer/Carpenter – Calgary Downtown

Pay Rate: $21/hour
Job Description
We are currently hiring an experienced Framer/Carpenter to join a construction team in Calgary Downtown. The ideal candidate should have hands-on framing/carpentry experience, with commercial construction experience preferred.
Job Duties
- Read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other framing materials
- Install wall, floor, and roof framing
- Construct and install wood structures, partitions, and framework
- Perform rough and finish carpentry as required
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with layout, levelling, and positioning of framing components
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Work with other trades and construction crew members to complete projects on schedule
- Perform other general carpentry and construction duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous framing/carpentry experience
- Commercial construction experience is preferred
- WHMIS certification required
- Fall Protection certification required
- 4 Steps Health & Safety certification required
- Ability to read basic construction drawings is an asset
- Ability to use common hand and power tools
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Pay: $21.00 per hour
