Sunrite Greenhouses Ltd. owns and operates a hydroponic greenhouse facility in Kingsville, ON. We are looking to hire for the position of General Farm Labour. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. . Hours will vary due to crop production, crop cycles and weather.
Weekend availability will be required. Employees will be required to work in greenhouses under hot, humid conditions and will be required to stand, kneel, bend and walk for long periods of time as well as working at heights.
Job duties include transplant seedlings, plant crop, prune plants, harvest vegetables, crop maintenance (clipping, hooking, de-leafing, winding), sanitize and clean greenhouses and equipment, packing, sorting and stacking hydroponic vegetables, checking product for quality assurance, clean work areas and other farm duties as assigned, product prep for market (tagging, stacking, box making).
Individuals will be required to lift weights of up to 30lbs.
No education or experience required, we will train all employees.
Job start date is immediate with no end date as we operate all year long producing various crops and packaging produce.
