Position Summary
The Communications and Marketing Specialist is a dynamic, cross-functional role that supports both the day-to-day operations of the business and the long-term growth of the brand. This position bridges client-facing operations, digital marketing, and business communications, playing a key role in how the business is seen, experienced, and grown.
Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Client Experience
- Elevates the client experience through responsive business communications
- Owns the customer-facing retail environment and point-of-sale operations
- Delivers a reliable, end-to-end order fulfillment experience for clients
- Leads the adoption of modern sales and communications technology
Digital Media Content Production
- Product photography for use online and in print
- Design digital and print visual pieces, including advertisements, brochures, and marketing materials
- Produce video and motion graphics content for promotional and training purposes, to publish on website, social media, and digital marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across digital platforms
Social Media Management
- Optimization of accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Content calendar planning and consistent posting (minimum 3 times per week)
- Copywriting and audience interaction
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices
Website Optimization
- Keep the website current with up-to-date products, photos, and information
- E-commerce implementation, customer interactions, and sales automation
- Respond to all Google reviews in a friendly, professional, and on-brand manner
Public Relations
- Internal and external communications management
- Participation in networking events
- Interactions with providers, clients, and stakeholders
- Seek out and build relationships with new wholesale accounts
- Sponsorship management
Marketing
Marketing Research
- Research industry trends and competitor products to build a competitive edge
- Investigation of competitors, benchmarking, new products, and pre-launch testing focus groups
- Study customer behaviour, analyze feedback, and adjust campaigns based on real data
- Pull and analyze campaign performance metrics
Marketing Strategy
- Develop marketing strategies and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to align with business objectives
- Plan, create, and launch advertising and promotional campaigns across traditional and digital platforms
- Coordinate timelines for events, product launches, and content calendars
Advertising Management
- Development of campaigns to align content with business goals
Pay: $27.00 per hour
