As a part-time RECE in our before and after school program, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
What You’ll Do:
- Inspire Young Minds: Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging programs that spark creativity and learning.
- Lead & Mentor: Guide assistants, support staff, volunteers, and placement students to ensure high-quality care.
- Build Relationships: Develop strong connections with families to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Ensure Safety & Well-being: Maintain a safe, fun, and nurturing space for children to learn and play.
- Uphold Excellence: Follow the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT), How Does Learning Happen?, and other best practices in early childhood education.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered (or in process) with the College of Early Childhood Educators in Ontario.
- Ability to work a split shift (before & after school hours, Monday-Friday).
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C Certification.
- Vulnerable Sector Check (must be less than six months old).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with children.
The Details:
- Part-time role: 15-20 hours per week.
- Monday-Friday availability required.
- Hours are not guaranteed.
