Atlantic Evershine Ltd. is currently seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused Industrial Janitorial Technician to join our growing team.
This position is based at a manufacturing facility near Halifax Stanfield International Airport and offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term, stable employment with room for advancement.
Position Details
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 6:30AM – 3:00 PM
- Full-Time
Starting Wage: $25.00/hour
Performance-based wage increases are available based on reliability, attendance, initiative, safety, and overall job performance.
About the Role
This is not your typical janitorial position.
You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient industrial manufacturing environment while working around specialized equipment, production machinery, and industrial processes.
Daily duties include:
- Cleaning production and manufacturing areas
- Cleaning offices, lunchrooms, washrooms and common spaces
- Industrial floor cleaning and shop maintenance
- Pressure washing equipment and work areas
- Safe handling and disposal of approved industrial waste products
- Cleaning machinery and production equipment
- Operating industrial cleaning equipment
- Following strict environmental and safety procedures
- Maintaining a safe and organized workplace at all times
This position involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working in an active industrial environment throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is:

✔ Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
You must also:
- Have reliable transportation (public transit is not a practical option)
- Be able to obtain a clean Criminal Record Check
- Be able to successfully complete site-specific security requirements
- Be comfortable working around industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment
Training & Certifications
Successful applicants will be required to complete several safety and site orientation courses before working independently.

Additional site-required training may include:
- Hazard Recognition
- Lock-Out/Tag-Out

Certain positions may also require training on:
- Forklifts

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Employees must be willing to wear all required PPE, including:
- Steel-toe safety boots
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Gloves
- Additional PPE required for specific tasks
