Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. This vital role involves providing exceptional customer service to pet owners, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting the daily operations of our clinic. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and departure
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services
- Manage patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for clients and patients
- Handle billing, payments, and insurance documentation accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and veterinary management software is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in veterinary assisting is advantageous
