Job Description
Reporting to the Inspection Division Manager, our Viking Vaughan branch is seeking a Fire Alarm Technical Sales Representative. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Review inspection reports and identified deficiencies to prepare accurate repair quotations
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding deficiencies and recommended corrective actions
Communicate with clients to explain deficiencies, code requirements, scope of work, and pricing
Coordinate with inspection, service, and operations teams to confirm labour requirements, materials needs, and scheduling availability
Prepare and submit deficiency quotations in a timely manner
Track open quotations, follow up on approvals, and help move approved work into scheduling
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and timely communication
Work with technicians and supervisors to clarify technical details and ensure quoted scopes are accurate
Assist with resolving customer questions, pricing concerns, and scope clarifications
Success Factors
College diploma in fire protection, building mechanics, civil engineering, or high school diploma and equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in troubleshooting and/or installing fire alarm systems (an asset).
At least 3 years of relevant experience in the fire protection or prevention industry
Proficiency in standards and codes governing the conception and installation of automatic fire extinguishers systems.
Knowledge of products used in fire protection and fire alarm.
CFAA certification (an asset).
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work well independently.
Strong customer service skills.
