Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to a clean and organized kitchen. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and maintaining cooking stations
- Help with food handling and storage to ensure freshness and safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift
- Support meal preparation and plating as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with serving food to customers or dining areas as needed
- Restock supplies and organize kitchen storage areas for efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
- Experience with meal preparation and working in the food industry will be considered a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations
