We are looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Wiring Technician to join our Test Department in Regina. In this hands-on role, you will assemble and wire electrical control panels, interpret engineering drawings and schematics, and help ensure our transformers meet the highest quality and safety standards before shipment.
This position is ideal for someone with electrical assembly, industrial electrical, panel-building, electrical technology, or manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working in a production environment where quality and precision matter.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assemble, install, and wire electrical control panels, devices, and equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and customer specifications.
- Mount completed control cabinets to transformer units and prepare wiring assemblies for testing and final inspection.
- Identify wiring, component, and drawing discrepancies, and collaborate with Engineering and Test teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Complete required quality documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment, including tool maintenance, housekeeping, and inventory support as required.
- Performing other duties as allocated.
WHAT IT TAKES

- Some Electrician training, apprenticeship experience, Journeyperson certification, or Electrical Engineering Technology certification.
- 1-2 years of electrical, electronics, wiring, industrial assembly, manufacturing, or related experience.
- Experience with control panel assembly and wiring.
- Demonstrated experience working with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
