Our team is currently hiring for a new vacancy, a permanent full-time Director of Clinical Services.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-In collaboration with the Director of Care and Director of Operations provides clinical support, consultation and follow-up to all assigned owned and managed homes to ensure regulatory compliance and that the provision of resident centered care is optimized.
-Provides leadership and direction in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for all activities related to clinical services with a focus to continuously improve clinical quality indicators and nursing practices throughout all assigned homes.
-Conducts and supports research regarding advances in the field of resident care or other relevant areas and brings forward recommendations for best practices and advancements for clinical services.
-Coaches and mentors individuals in nursing leadership roles to promote employee development and supports the onboarding process of new nursing leaders.
-Supports home specific and organizational-wide clinical services projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
-Assists and provides input into clinical policies, procedures and programs.
-In the absence of a member of a nursing leadership team, provides direct hands-on clinical support at the home level, as required.
-Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the provincial College of Nurses.
-Must have a minimum of five (5) year’s working experience as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisor capacity in long-term care.
-Sound knowledge of provincial regulatory requirements and inspection process.
-Must posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Strong relationship building abilities with the ability to lead and influence others.
-Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Point Click Care and other computerized documentation systems.
-Preference will be given to those candidates with Director of Care experience and a certificate of Gerontological Nursing.
-Ability to drive and/or travel to long-term care homes.
-All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.

Pay: $115,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
