In this role, you’ll deliver fast, friendly service, connect with guests, and help create a high-energy, welcoming atmosphere. You’ll be part of the front line taking orders, keeping things running smoothly, and making sure every customer leaves satisfied.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating great experiences. Experience in food service or sales is a plus, and multilingual skills are always an asset as we serve a diverse community.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with their inquiries using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Provide product demos and explain features to customers, highlighting upselling opportunities to enhance sales
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and maintaining product presentation standards
- Assist customers with technical sales, offering knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all guests
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain time management skills to efficiently serve multiple guests during busy periods
- Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs.
- Proven supervising experience helps in guiding team members effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is advantageous.
