Job description:
Happy at Home Health Care Services is currently seeking a motivated, professional and experienced and people-focused Employee Care Manager to join our growing home care team. This leadership role is responsible for caregiver recruitment, onboarding, employee retention, training, and staff support. The Employee Care Manager acts as the bridge between leadership and frontline caregivers while promoting a positive, supportive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead caregiver recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Ensure caregivers are properly trained on company policies, safety procedures, documentation standards, and client care expectations.
- Support and mentor new hires throughout their first 30, 60, and 90 days to promote successful integration and retention.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing employee development opportunities.
- Address caregiver concerns, attendance issues, interpersonal conflicts, and performance-related matters in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with leadership and HR regarding employee coaching, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations when required.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives to foster a positive team culture.
- Conduct quality assurance and supervisory visits as needed to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous management or leadership experience within home care, healthcare, or community care required.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, scheduling, or workforce coordination preferred.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Passion for employee development, coaching, and building strong caregiver teams.
- Ideal for an aspiring Talent Acquisition (TA) or Human Resources (HR) professional looking to grow within the healthcare industry.
Strong onboarding, mentorship, and employee recognition programs are widely recognized as key drivers of caregiver retention and long-term staff success within home care organizations.
Compensation
- $22.00 - 24.00 per hour/ based on experience
