ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
This is an onsite Facilities Coordinator role responsible for the day-to-day operations of a single, active facility in the Waterloo region.
You will be the main point of contact onsite, taking full ownership of building operations. This is a hands-on, visible role where you will be responsible for keeping the facility running smoothly through a mix of maintenance, coordination, and problem-solving.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE
- Start your day with a walkthrough of the facility to identify any issues
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks throughout the day
- Coordinate vendors and contractors for scheduled and reactive work
- Complete minor repairs and general upkeep as needed
- Support custodial activities to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Communicate with stakeholders on ongoing work and priorities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily facility operations to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment
- Act as the primary onsite contact for all facility-related activity
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Maintain and execute preventive maintenance programs
- Conduct regular inspections and proactively address issues
- Manage and complete work orders using CMMS systems
- Perform minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks as required
- Obtain quotes, source vendors, and manage service delivery
- Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders and internal teams
- Respond to facility issues during business hours and after-hours when required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Trade qualification and/or technical diploma (or equivalent facility experience and knowledge).

1–3 years of experience in facilities coordination, building operations, maintenance, or a related hands-on role
- Experience coordinating vendors, maintenance work, or site operations
- Hands-on experience with basic building maintenance such as lighting, minor plumbing, or repairs is strongly preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced, operational environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience using CMMS or work order systems is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid G class Ontario driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform minor physical tasks
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors year-round
- Ability to pass a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
COMPENSATION
This is a regular, full‑time position with a salary range of $60,000 – $65,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and demonstrated performance related to this role.
