Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator or Laborer to join our dynamic team at Avanti Landscaping in GTA. This role is essential in helping us craft stunning outdoor environments by operating heavy machinery and supporting our landscaping projects. Your expertise will contribute directly to our mission of transforming outdoor spaces with quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, bobcats, excavators, loaders, and backhoes to assist in landscaping projects.
- Maintain and inspect machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Support construction activities including grading, paving, and site preparation.
- Follow safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all operations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with equipment setup and breakdown at job sites.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery as needed.
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on quality workmanship.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, loaders, or backhoes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license is preferred.
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors.
- Prior experience in landscaping or construction is advantageous.
- Knowledge of equipment like Caterpillar machines or grading tools is a plus.
