APPRENTICE CARPENTER — 3rd or 4th Year
Full-Time · Permanent · Residential Renovation
We're a company that's growing the right way — steadily, with a team we're proud of and work we stand behind. We're looking for a 3rd or 4th year apprentice carpenter who's serious about the trade and ready to finish their ticket with a crew that will actually teach them. We reward your commitment with a home life and in-town work.
You'll work directly alongside experienced carpenters and a lead hand who want to bring you up to their standard. You'll be given real responsibility as you earn it, and the hours and support you need to complete your apprenticeship. In return, you'll have stable, full-time employment with a company that means what it says.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work alongside journeyman carpenters on residential renovation projects from start to finish
- Perform rough and finish carpentry with increasing independence — framing, sheathing, trim, doors, windows, and stairs
- Assist with layout, levelling, squaring, and material staging
- Learn to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Keep job sites safe, clean, and organized
- Take direction well, ask good questions, and own your work
- Log your hours toward your Red Seal — we'll sponsor your apprenticeship and work around your technical training schedule
YOUR SKILLS
- Solid residential framing fundamentals — walls, floors, and roof work under supervision
- Developing finish carpentry skills and the patience to do it right
- Some renovation experience
- Confident, safe use of standard hand and power tools
- Basic layout and measuring skills you can be trusted with
- A working awareness of site safety and a willingness to learn the code
WHO YOU ARE
- Eager to learn — you want to be a journeyman, not just collect a paycheque
- A straight communicator — you ask when you don't know and speak up when something's off
- Accountable — you own your mistakes and fix them
- Reliable — you show up on time, every day, ready to work
- The kind of person who gives a damn about the finished product, even on the parts nobody sees
REQUIREMENTS
- Registered 3rd or 4th year carpentry apprentice (SkilledTradesBC) or equivalent verifiable hours
- Valid, clean Class 5 driver's licence
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Own basic hand tools standard to the trade
- Able to work outdoors in all weather
WHY CONSIDER US
We're not a revolving door. We invest in apprentices who invest in us. That means consistent hours, journeymen who teach instead of just delegate, support through your technical training, and a real job waiting when you get your ticket. If you're an apprentice who's tired of the instability and just wants to learn the trade properly with a company that has its act together.
