Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean dining environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The server will play a vital role in delivering memorable dining experiences and supporting the overall operations of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and dietary information to assist guests effectively
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables during busy periods
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized dining area
Requirements
- Prior food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable, especially in hospitality or the food industry
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation protocols diligently
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and guest interactions
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
