Elante Transport Ltd. is a growing transportation company specializing in cross-border and long-haul freight throughout Canada and the United States. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team and help ensure efficient fleet operations.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch drivers and coordinate daily freight movements.
- Plan efficient routes and optimize truck utilization.
- Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to customers.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, brokers, and shippers.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries while ensuring on-time performance.
- Track driver hours and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Resolve service issues and respond to unexpected delays.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and load documentation.
- Work closely with the safety and accounting teams.
Qualifications
- Previous dispatch or transportation experience preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of Canada and U.S. trucking operations is an asset.
- Experience with load boards and transportation management software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
